Habitat:Prefers a cool, moist, acidic soil that contains organic matter. It is not tolerant of stresses such as heat, drought, pollution, or road salt. The showy part of the bloom is actualy made up of four white bracts, aka modified leaves, not flowers. The flowers are the not-so-showy center, which are a greenish-yellow color.
